An absolute piece of art combining many artisanal methods. 

Beautifully hand block in Gujarat India and handwoven in a wool-silk mix in West Bengal.  These light and extra-large shawls can be worn in many ways. 

In meditation wearing a natural fiber over the head and shoulders helps to contain the rising of energy as you meditate.  It can take you into the zone of your own cocoon.

A completely versatile shawl that can also be worn:

~ To cover the shoulders and neck on your way to and from the studio

~ Dressing up an outfit - it is a wearable piece of artwork

~ Can also be used as a throw or as a bed runner

Method:

Layered in block-printed patterns using madder root, fermented scrap iron, gum arabica and lime.

Multiple hand-carved blocks were used to create this pattern.

Care:

Gentle hand wash in cold water.  Once washed and rinsed, absorb excess water from the shawl with a towel. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
