About The Print

Inspired by the ancient art of Kalamkari, Jude features intricate handblock prints in soothing soft tones to support the daily wind down.

Judy, our founder's Grandmother taught Angela the value of self-care and the joy of connecting with nature. Angela’s fond memories of garden walks with her grandmother is woven into each piece.

Our skilled artisans have revived this traditional design with custom colors exclusively for Buddhi Threads. Each stunning print is hand-printed using GOTS-certified dyes and four hand-carved blocks across multiple layers.

Kalamkari dates back to the 17th century and could be found in temples as well as modern homes. The original artform involves around 23 steps and all natural dyes. Our printers modern version uses kalamkari roots as inspiration and is created with GOTS friendly dyes and on organic cotton.

Care Instructions
  • Bag It Up: Pop your loungewear in a garment bag and wash with similar colours (no whites, with natural dyes please!) to keep those vibrant hues shining bright.
  • Go Natural (or use very gentle detergent if necessary) on Gentle wash Cycle: Use soap nuts, nature's little wonders from the Himalayas. These magic nuts are packed with natural soap that gently cleans your clothes without any chemicals
  • Add to your wash and set to cold water.
  • Hang out to dry out of direct sunlight
  • Handle with Love: While ripping off your loungewear can be fun, unbuttoning with care will keep all those lovely buttons in place.
  • Air Dry Only: Skip the tumble dryer! Give your pieces a good shake and hang them up to dry out of direct sunlight so they can dry naturally.
