At certain moments in life, courage isn’t about pushing harder or becoming fearless.
It’s about learning how to stay present when fear arises without collapsing, panicking, or forcing our way through.
Inside our online yoga and meditation platform we practice courage as a quality of the heart.
Steady, discerning, grounded.
This understanding sits at the centre of the Courageous Heart Sādhana
Inspired by Durga the archetype of unwavering strength;
Durga acts as our mirror so we can recognise her qualities within ourselves. She calls us to act with clarity and compassion, to protect what is sacred, and to embody courage to overcome our internal and external battles.
Rather than turning away from fear, Durga teaches us how to stand in the midst of it, grounded and awake. Fear may still arise, but it no longer determines our choices.
One way this inner posture is symbolised in the Courageous Heart Sadhana is through Abhaya Hrdaya Mudra - the gesture of the Fearless Heart.
In Sanskrit, abhaya means “protection, peace, and dispelling fear,” not because fear disappears, but because it no longer governs the inner landscape.
Hrdaya refers not only to the emotional heart, but the core or essence of what we are, the quiet centre where strength, love and courage coexist.
Inside Buddhi Sangha, we see fear is not something to bypass or overcome. It is an invitation, a threshold where energy is asking to move, mature, and reorganise. When met consciously, fear can become a source of inner power and courage rather than a source of contraction.
This is the courage Durga embodies — not forceful or reactive, but deeply rooted and alive.
A Gentle Invitation
The practices within the Courageous Heart Sādhana are designed to support this inner steadiness — helping us meet life from the heart, rather than from habit or fear.
If this teaching resonates, you may feel called to explore it more deeply through guided practice.
