We hope you’re enjoying your Calm Buddhi Grounding Yoga Mat. We want you to get the most out of your yoga mat for as long as possible so have created a few tips for using your yoga mat and taking good care of it!
WHEN YOU FIRST GET YOUR GROUNDING YOGA MAT:
Initially your new natural rubber and jute yoga mat will smell like rubber. This is completely normal for natural tree rubber.
With correct storage and airing this will dissipate quickly. Here are some tips to reduce the rubber smell faster.
- Unroll and place in a well ventilated and shady area.
- Place over a clothes airer in a shaded area outside or well ventilated area inside (near an open window in the shade is ideal)
STORAGE:
Keep your yoga mat stored inside in a well-ventilated and shady space.
CLEANING YOUR GROUNDING YOGA MAT:
Step 1
Wipe down with a damp cloth when needed or, for a stronger clean, use vinegar and water with a ratio of 1:2.
Note: do not submerge in water, or use soap or other chemicals to clean.
Step 2
Our eco yoga mats don’t like being wet so when wiping down allow them to air dry fully out of direct sunlight before rolling up.
Calm Buddhi Grounding yoga mats are biodegradable so keep out of direct Sunlight (which will biodegrade the mat) for prolonged periods of time. Short periods are ok but the less the better!
Your mat is the place you come home to realise yourself
. Where you gain an intimate knowledge of your body and how to use it to feel your best physically and energetically. It is where you peel away the layers of what no longer serves you so you may live your best life. May you find countless hours on your yoga mat doing just this!
